Over 800 people attended American Union’s Family Fun Night, an event held in partnership with Leadership Fresno.  The free event offered family friendly activities such as, face-painting, bounce houses, carnival games, educational booths, and more.  Several special guests were present throughout the day to celebrate American Union’s focus on positive culture, including; Ms. California, Assemblyman Joaquin Arámbula, Supervisor Brian Pacheco, and Fresno State President Joseph Castro.

Leadership Fresno also helped unveil a colorful mural representing American Union’s rich history of learning, contributions to Valley agriculture, and focus on being kind.  Students submitted their own artwork and were chosen to contribute to the mural painted by local artists. The mural serves as the backdrop to the school’s learning garden, also made possible by American Union’s partnership with Leadership Fresno.

The Family Fun Night could not have happened without the support and donations of many Valley businesses and organizations.  Educational Employees Credit Union, Valley Children’s Hospitals, the Wonderful Company, The Fresno County Library, The Fresno Chaffee Zoomobile, PlayZuem of Central California, and Olam Farms were just a few of the community sponsors who came out to lend support.  Families enjoyed spending time at both educational and entertaining booths provided by the many sponsors of the event.
