Washington Unified would like to thank community members who supported the Fresno Grizzlies FFA Night Fundraiser, held this past May. Because of your support, Washington Union seniors were able to apply for the Gar and Esther Tootelian Charitable Foundation Farm Grown Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding high school seniors who pursue a degree in an agriculturally-related field.
Recent Washington Union High School graduate, Ashley Arellano, was announced as one of this year’s scholarship winners! Ashley is currently a full time student at Fresno State majoring in Ag Education. While at WU, Ashley was an active member of the school’s Ag department and Future Farmers of America (FFA) program. The Ag Department at WUHS would like to thank its families and community for supporting the students and agriculture program at WUHS.
