Recently two Fresno-Washington FFA members, Brandon Hernandez and Anthony Cruz had the opportunity to expand their leadership skills and FFA involvement by running for the West-Fresno Madera FFA section officer team.
The sectional officer team is a step above WU’s own chapter team and includes 13 local high school FFA chapters. Both Hernandez and Cruz put in tremendous effort and dedication by completing an online application to start their journey. After the application process both of these students spent hours preparing for interviews.
Anthony Cruz had the honor to be slated for this year’s West-Fresno Madera Sentinel! The next step is to submit a video to delegates from 13 local schools in order to vote for who they think will best serve the West-Fresno Madera FFA section in the upcoming year.
WUSD is tremendously proud of both Brandon and Anthony for taking these steps to expand their leadership skills and wishes Anthony luck in the upcoming election!
