Washington Union High School is incredibly proud of former WUHS Panther, Maritza Uribe.  Uribe recently earned a Juris Doctorate at San Joaquin College of Law after graduating with a B.A. in Political Economy at the University of California at Berkeley.

Uribe credits the clubs and programs that she participated in at WUHS with helping her to develop the skills she needed to achieve her goals.  “WUHS had several clubs and programs I participated in that helped me learn and foster valuable skills that I frequently used both in higher education and in my career. My participation in these clubs also helped me get accepted into the university of my choice,” stated Uribe.  “All of the teachers and staff that I shared my college and career goals were supportive.   Every teacher that I asked for assistance – whether it was to review a personal statement or to write a letter of recommendation – was ready, willing, and excited to help. I’m very grateful to each and every teacher and staff member at WUHS that helped me get to where I am today.”

Congratulations Maritza on your achievement!
