On Wednesday, June 23rd there will be a public hearing to consider the adoption of enVision Mathematics curriculum for grades 9-12 at Washington Union High School.

The high school math Professional Learning Committee (PLC) has conducted research and engaged in a pilot of enVision to support core curriculum. Along with stakeholder input from Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, site and district level administration, and most importantly- students, the district is proposing the adoption of this curriculum for use at WUHS.

According to their website, “enVision is the first math series that combines problem-based learning with visual learning. Students learn more about math by solving rich, reality-based problems. They gain a deeper, clearer understanding of math concepts with visual models and scaffolds in every lesson.”
