Our Community Education Program is now open at the Mary Ella Brown Center in West Fresno. Services offered through this program include both in-person and online independent study high school diploma programs. The Center will also house Washington Unified’s Adult School and host various parent workshops.
Earning a high school diploma can lead to better opportunities for students when it comes to career options and salary potential. Washington Unified’s Alternative Education Program is designed to offer diploma completion classes to both high school aged students and adults, age 18 or older, in the community.
Courses for adults, ages 18 and older, are offered online through Cyber High and are designed to be easily accessed from most devices. “Many adults are juggling multiple responsibilities, including jobs and children,” explained Learning Director Grant Thor, “To add a demanding class schedule on top of that makes it hard for some to achieve their goals of earning a high school diploma. The online format give adults the flexibility to be able to complete coursework at any time and from various locations.”
