The Washington Union High School Sophomore Academy has started a new tradition to celebrate every student who works hard to improve their grades at school. Each quarter, the Sophomore Academy honors its “Risen Ones.” These are students who have increased their grade point averages by 0.5 or more from the previous grading period. Students are presented with a certificate of achievement, are publicly recognized and listed on the Academy’s office window, and their families are notified about their growth. WUSD congratulates all of this quarter’s “Risen Ones!”
