Introducing Securly
Washington Unified School District is using a new web filtering system called Securly. When a person logs onto a Washington Unified device with a Washington Unified account, Securly web filtering is enacted to protect and/or prevent your student from viewing harmful internet activity.

How it Works
When a person accesses an inappropriate site from a Washington Unified device with a WUSD account, a message will be sent to WUSD Technology
Department. If the site is highly inappropriate or is one that signifies that an intervention may be needed, technology department staff will contact school site administration and they will decide on the most appropriate course of action. Any of the following actions could be taken: contact student, contact parent, technology privileges suspended, contact law enforcement, support intervention provided, among other actions.

Securly Blocks the Following Content:

Illegal topics, such as drugs, hate/violence, adult/pornographic content, etc., Social networks such as Facebook, Tik Tok, Reddit, Instagram, etc., Hacking/proxy sites, Gaming sites that are non-educational, Chat/messaging, Streaming media such as Pandora, Spotify, Netflix, Soundcloud, etc.
